Lord Horatio here again

Have a look in the snug.  You will find some new old games that are definitely worth a try.   I have been trying these out myself ahead of my nephew Simon coming to teach me how to juggle.    Are you a skimmer, a winker or a taw?  Find out by taking a look in The Snug

Lord Horatio calling

Here at Dawdle Hall we are doing some emergency work to the heating system so we won’t have to freeze this winter.    One person who will be quite comfortable wandering the draughty corridors is my young nephew Alexander. He returned from his summer music festivals with a marvellous item of clothing tucked into his rucksack – a sleeping bag with arms, legs and a hood!    Click here to find out more and read all about these Bags of Fun

Lord Horatio calling

I have just been leafing through some pictures of our recent jaunt to Provence -and jolly interesting they are too.

While looking round the remarkable town of Les Baux, perched dramatically on top of a craggy outcrop, we came across a whole array of vintage cars which had somehow managed to negotiate the narrow winding streets and park on the airy plateau.

Amazingly they were there to be blessed by the local priest. The unusual convoy regularly goes from church to church in that part of France seeking divine guidance from saintly satnavs in, one supposes, the hope of safely reaching the ultimate destination.

If you would like to take a peek. I have pinned them up in  the Garage at Dawdle Hall. Below are some general views

The Dawdle Hall Diary

Hello, Lord Horatio here.

On her way out for her daily constitutional Lady Dawdle handed me a copy of a charming book called the North Downs Way by an old friend Belinda Knox. My attention well and truly seized by the large picture of a golden cornfield on the cover, I hastened to the snug to learn more. Although more of an armchair athlete than a committed walker I was soon immersed.  Join me in The Snug to get up to date here.

Bye for now
