Hats Off to: The foodies of Hawaii who hold a festival in honour of Spam – their favourite nosh. The tinned pork frenzy held every year at Waikiki Beach features such delights Spam pizza, Spam fried rice, Spam sushi and – of course – Spam fritters. They eat 8 million cans a year. Despite being the butt of jokes 8 billion cans are sold round the world every 12 months. Eat your hearts out Monty Python!
