Hats Off to: Big hearted couple Jim Nelson and his wife Rene Agredano who started Tripawds, the online community for owners of three legged pets. They sold their design business and home in California, bought a big caravan and hit the road after their dog Jerry lost a limb to bone cancer. It was mean’t to give the much loved pooch the trip of a lifetime. That was back in the 2006. Although Jerry passed away in 2008, Jim and Rene are still on the road and running the site from their trailer. It is used by more than 13,000 “pawrents.” They have even helped the owners of a one-legged chicken called Uno!
