Emma Brace writes: “Knitting used to be thought of as old fashioned, a bit fuddy duddy and best left to grannies. But that has all changed. Thanks to fabulous new colours, textures and amazing shops like Loop Yarns, in Camden Passage, Islington,  where I work, it has become cool to click!

Pulling out a pair of needles and tackling a pattern is relaxing and now used as a form of meditation by many busy and stressed out people, including celebrities. Design has come on in leaps and bounds too. The variety of objects and garments that can be made is virtually limitless as these two videos will show. They feature some of the designs that have caught my eye and snippets from my favourite site Ravelry. Enjoy!”
